How Content Marketing Will Benefit Your Business

Content marketing: a type of marketing that involves the creation and sharing of online material (such as videos, blogs, and social media posts) that does not explicitly promote a brand but is intended to stimulate interest in its products or services (via Google).

I know, another amateur move by inputing a definition, but per usual, trust the process.

Content marketing can be crucial for your business depending on how you curate the content to showcase to your existing or potential audience. For people to be able to share your content to others and start a conversation through sharing links, social media handles or any other forms of your content can bring value to your purpose and to what you’re putting out for the world to see.

There is a difference between putting out ads for the sake of your business and putting out ads to bring value to your company. The question is, what will audiences be intrigued by making them want more out of what your company has, boosting profitability and the overall standing of your business.

Take Apple’s ad commercial “Introducing Airpod Pro” for example. We all know that Apple first released Airpods in December of 2016 and later released the Airpod Pros in October of 2019. At the release of the second generation of Airpods, you could still buy the first ones so one can assume that from the release of their commercial for the Pros, it had to intrigue and basically make people who had or didn’t have the first ones want Airpods  and buy the newest release of them. The commercial not only highlighted the cool specs about the Pros but it definitely differentiated them from the first pair released. It brought value to Apple’s newest release giving audiences something to share and rave about.

If people were still going to buy the first Airpods over the Pros, that would be okay but really, what would bring in Apple more profit if more people bought Pros and how much more recognition would they get after releasing something new yet again? Rhetorical question, you get the point though.

The whole point of content marketing is to get people to subscribe and share your content with others which will separate your company from its competition. Content will spread messages to your audience and remember, they are valuable messages that they will internalize and positively attach to your company whenever they share it, come across it or even think about it.
